Meet Dr. Whenry
My name is Dr. Lauren Whenry, and I am excited to introduce myself to you. Although many people dread visiting the dental office, I am hopeful that I can make your experience as pleasant as possible.
I earned my Doctorate Of Dental Surgery from the University of Oklahoma Health Science Center in 2008. After completing my doctorate, I learned that I am drawn to surgical procedures. I also learned that I have a inclination for facial aesthetics. With this in mind, I pursued extended continuing education in Sedation Dentistry from Baylor University in 2008. I also completed an extensive surgical and implant residency at the McGarry Implant Institute in 2018.
When it comes to facial aesthetics, there is so much to love! I was among the first dentists to receive Botox certification in 2008, and I have continued to incorporate new facial aesthetic techniques into my practice. Morpheus 8 and Lumecca joined my practice in 2021, and I am enjoying the positivity it brings to my life.
I come from a small family, and favor my brother above anyone else. He has special needs, and functions near a first grade level. He is the apple of my eye. My sister lives in Tulsa as well, and shares office space with me. She is the most talented hair stylist on the planet and I am extraordinarily proud of her. At home, I live with a very spoiled house cat, Penny.
When I am not practicing dentistry, I enjoy spending time at the gym. I go to the gym several times each week, and consider myself a novice yogi. (I am pretty good at the Savasana pose.) I also enjoy reading. I read daily and I am part of a book club.
I look forward to sharing my new dental office with you soon!
